Live Title generator repository

I’ve put together a Live Title generator repository. I’m hoping to make it the place to go for them, just like userstyles.org is the place to go for user CSS. The site itself explains what the plan is for the site, so I won’t repeat it except to re-iterate: the site really needs generators (right now it’s at a pathetic 4 - one from the tutorial, two I’ve made, and one by Myk Melez), so if you have written generators, it’d be greatly appreciated if you posted them. For a limited time only, you’d also get a nice single-digit ID.

this is the first i have heard of this feature

btw have you seen http://microsummaries.org/ ?

  2. jason Says:

Yes, I’ve seen that site. I’ve contacted them in the hope that they’ll post their generators here too.

How do you uninstall these generators?

  4. jason Says:

Weishun, there’s currently no UI to do so. If you want to uninstall them, go into your profile folder and look inside the microsummary-generators folder.

Thanks. I don’t like clutter and the weather.com generator’s of no use outside the US.

A month ago I whipped up patch to implement microsummaries as an addon type into AMOv3 - it’s already hopelessly bitrotted, but things look good for getting it in either for the release or shortly afterwards :)

I’ve got an extension that’s in about the same state of disrepair as my AMO patch - but now that there’s an easy place for people to install them, I think I’ll try to finish it up and get it released sometime in the next week or two.

Ryan, that’s excellent news. AMO is obviously much more visible than this site, so it would be a better place for them. You’ll note that I included a disclaimer on the site that the submitter must agree to allow the generator to be moved to AMO should AMO ever support one :)

Regarding your extension, if you’re interested in integrating it with my site (ex: API for searching), mail me and we can discuss!
